Stuffed paprikas with minced beef and feta cheese

What do you do when you might have overshopped a little at the market and you still have four paprikas in the fridge, which you really need to eat within now and two days? Yes, you make roasted, stuffed paprikas. It has been a while since I made them and I forgot how simple they were to make. They really do not take up a lot of your time, but you do get maximum flavour. If you of course use the right herbs, spices and fillings, but don’t worry I have a recipe here that you have to try if you are planning on making them.

Spicy pork strips in soy sauce

Do you like spicy food? Then look no further I got the dish for you. These spicy pork strips in soy sauce are, well spicy. But don’t worry if you use the right amount of peppers you will be just fine. And if you are a bit stubborn like I am then, well, you will definately know how much to use the next you cook it.

Roasted smokey, garlic chicken

This dish started off as nothing special. Just some simple roasted chicken breast that would not have been worth sharing, but I decided to take a risk and that was so worth it. It elevated my normal dille chicken roast to something unusual that you just want to keep eating more of. (As you can tell, I am very proud of this).

Take it easy

There are some days that I just want no hassle when it comes to cooking (they are very rare but still). On those days I want to cook something simple and quick that does not take a lot of preparation. When I am in such a mood, I have usually been to work and the gym and by the time I sit down with my dinner it will be 21:00 (for me that is quite late). So anything that will need 15 minutes to prep and cook is reasonable for me then.¬†Luckily I became an expert in quick and easy meals when I was living in dorms with 15 other housemates and one induction plate to cook on, since the other one was always broken. It didn’t matter how many times we got it fixed, it continued to break down.

Christmas traditions

Christmas has officially begun. According to the songs the most wonderful time of the year. I, as a foodlover, cannot entirely disagree with this statement. I love Christmas dinners where the entire family and loved ones are sitting around the table eating food that someone spent hours preparing, drinking wine that you normally wouldn’t buy, and watch movies that are only allowed to be watched around this time of year.

Just a little different

The colder months of the year. It is a time where I like to spent time in the kitchen even more than usual. I take more time to prepare meals and put more thought into the dishes that I make. I suppose that has also to do with the fact that right now it is the warmest place in the house.

This dish that I made earlier this week is right up my winter comfort food street. It is simple, reasonably quick to make (30-45 min) and just a little different than usual.

Mash it up

image

Autumn! The time of crawling onto the couch with a blanket and a plate of hot steaming food while Netflix plays  your favorite series.
We wish the light summery salads farewell and welcome the potatoes, cabbages, mushrooms and gravy back into our kitchens. It is time to put all the ingredients in one pot, mash it and call it a stamppot.
